Meeting Announcement
Hello Everyone,
Don't forget the Orlando Java User group is meeting this Thursday, 7/31.
Please note we'll be meeting at the Oviedo campus of Seminole Community
College (not Lake Mary)
For July's Orlando JUG presentation we feature our very own Mike
Brubaker discussing "How to Win Friends and Influence People Through the
Magic of Java Smartcard Programming." Mike will share an high level
overview of Java Smartcard coding along with his recent trials and
tribulations of setting up his own development environment at home. Look forward
to an enthralling discussion of the various pieces and parts that make
up a Smartcard system, along with some code samples. For the
breathtaking finale, we'll tackle everyone's favorite entry-level coding
project, "Hello World," (along with an explanation of why that's not so easily
accomplished with Smartcards.) A 110 kB powerpoint version of his presentation is available.
Mike Brubaker is a Sun Certified Java Programmer and a job-hunting
senior graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from UCF
this month. Anyone hiring? He can be reached at meb ==@@@== cfl.rr.com.
Borland will be providing some refreshments so be sure to send your
RSVP to rsvp@orlandojug.org if you plan on attending.
